Ingredients
- 75 ml coconut
- 250 ml flour
- 100 ml oats
- 375 ml sugar
- 2.5 ml salt
- 5 ml ground cinnamon
- 250 g butter
- 40 ml golden syrup
- 10 ml bicarbonate of soda
- 62.5 ml milk
Method
- Combine all dry ingredients
- Melt the butter with the syrup and add to the dry ingredients
- Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the milk and add
- Mix well
- Press the crumbly mixture firmly into a greased baking tray to a depth of about 1cm
- Flatten top with rolling pin
- Bake at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
- Allow to cool slightly then cut into squares
- Lift out of pan and cool completely on a wire rack
