Peppermint Crisp Tart (Traditional Recipe)
🛒 Ingredients
- 1 packet (200–250g) Tennis biscuits (Substitute if in UK use Nice biscuits)
- 1 tin (360g) caramel treat (like Nestlé Caramel Treat)
- 1 packet (250ml) fresh cream
- 1 large bar (150g) Peppermint Crisp or if in UK you can use peppermint aero or peppermint matchmakers.
- Optional: extra crushed peppermint crisp for topping
🥣 Instructions
- Whip the cream
Beat the fresh cream until soft peaks form. - Make the filling
In a separate bowl, mix the caramel treat until smooth.
Fold the whipped cream into the caramel gently until fully combined. - Prepare the peppermint crisp
Crush or grate the Peppermint Crisp bar (traditionally grated). - Layer the tart
- Arrange a layer of Tennis biscuits at the bottom of a square or rectangular dish.
- Spread a layer of the caramel-cream mixture.
- Sprinkle generously with grated Peppermint Crisp.
- Repeat layers (usually 2–3 layers), finishing with caramel mixture and peppermint on top.
- Chill
